Julia was appointed General Counsel in 2021. She is a qualified solicitor, having studied Law and French Law at University College London, then trained and worked as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith in London and Paris, before joining Addleshaw Goddard in Leeds.

Julia has since spent over a decade in senior in-house roles at Asda and Vodafone (previously Cable & Wireless UK), managing legal teams, negotiating complex contracts and providing a broad range of corporate,  commercial and company secretarial advice.
