Over the past decade there’s been a tremendous shift from traditional retail channels to multichannel retailing. The rise of the internet, sophisticated smart phone technology and social networking sites have changed the face of retail – and consumer buying habits – forever.
Many forward-thinking retailers have been quick to respond to these changes and successfully evolved their businesses in-line with the demands of techno-savvy consumers. For many others, however, this is not a straightforward process. It involves significant investment, time and resources to ensure their business has the necessary channels and supply chain infrastructure in place to deal with these growing demands.
