Tony Mannix, Chief Executive Officer of Clipper 玩嘉电竞 plc has been named as the Supply Chain Leader of the Year at the industry flagship Retail Week Supply Chain Awards.
The announcement was made at the awards gala dinner, celebrating retailers, suppliers and individuals who are driving progress in the retail supply chain industry. The judges, which included leading names from the likes of The John Lewis Partnership, Dreams, Kingfisher and Boohoo.com, picked Tony from a select group of supply chain innovators.
Clipper has initiated many innovative retail solutions during Tony’s time on the board, including industry-leading initiatives such as the Boomerang™ reverse logistics solution, and the award-winning ClickLink™ initiative, a joint venture set up alongside The John Lewis Partnership.
Tony joined Clipper in 2006, however, his career in retail logistics spans more than three decades. A Chartered Fellow of the Institute of 玩嘉电竞 & Transport, he has a wealth of experience and equally importantly he has a true passion for retail.
Speaking about the recognition, Tony said: “I’m absolutely honoured and humbled by the kind words of the judges, and I am delighted to accept this award. As this is the first time a non-retailer has been awarded this accolade it is very pleasing that the “retail solution focus” of Clipper has been recognised in this way – I feel like we have been accepted into the retail community as an equal. I’ve been proud to help drive innovation in our sector, and help the retail industry evolve and keep ahead of the rapid pace of change. I have the same drive and passion for supply-chain now, as when I set out in this industry some time ago, and look forward to helping Clipper lead the way in the years to come.”

In 2014, Tony was part of the team that led the business through an IPO. Since then, the business has made several major acquisitions and consolidated its position at the forefront of UK retail logistics.
