Clipper’s award season success continues after winning a Retail Week Supply Chain Award in the Delivery Initiative of the Year category, for its innovative Click & Collect proposition delivered alongside The John Lewis partnership. The announcement comes just weeks after being recognised for innovation at the SHD 玩嘉电竞 Awards.
Clipper has designed an industry-leading solution, which not only benefits John Lewis & Waitrose, but other retail customers who require a cost effective, flexible and fast delivery to store. A combination of timed delivery and parcel tracking means that customers are kept fully up to date with their order status. Clipper works closely with a number of John Lewis distribution centres and partner businesses to ensure that each stage of the delivery process, from tracking to sorting, runs as efficiently as possible.
Clipper’s Chief Executive, Tony Mannix said: “We’ve worked at pace, using our industry experience and awareness to develop our retail focussed Click & Collect offering. To have it recognised amongst our peers and the wider retail supply-chain is fantastic. We’re looking to grow this service further, and are very pleased with the opportunities that are presenting themselves.”
The service was initially developed alongside John Lewis , and is now being offered to additional retail clients.
Clipper’s work on the initiative helped support John Lewis during the peak trading period over Christmas 2015, resulting in the achievement of exceptional performance and helped to further enhance the customer experience.
