Clipper will demonstrate their expertise in returns management as a keynote speaker at the renowned European Retail 玩嘉电竞 event, Logistik & Retouren 2015, in Dusseldorf. Clipper CEO Tony Mannix will speak alongside Ged Keogh-Peters, Head of Returns & Operational Development at John Lewis, under the title Returns Management: The New Battleground for Retailers.
During the event, the latest retail trends will be discussed, including the rise of returns in multichannel retail. Clipper will demonstrate their pan-European expertise and explain how the industry should tackle the issue of growing online return rates, head-on. Clipper will showcase its processes and experiences, including how an integrated international outlook on returns management can often make the whole process more efficient.
Tony Mannix said: “We were one of the first logistics providers to identify returns as a key issue for retailers. The efficient processing of returns can not only save retailer costs, but it’s vital to help ensure a positive customer experience. Online, multichannel retail has meant that customers are increasingly likely to return their purchases. Our Boomerang reverse logistics service allows the efficient processing of returned stock, making it ready for resale. It has the benefit of giving the retailer better stock visibility and helps to ensure excellent customer service levels. Returns is very much the new battleground for competitive advantage.”
Clipper has lead the way in reverse logistics and returns management, with its pan-European reverse logistics process: Boomerang, which seeks to take cost, complexity and risk out of a retailer’s supply chain. The business has 39 sites throughout the UK and Germany, shipping to over 170 countries worldwide. Logistik & Retouren takes place over the 10 th and 11 th of June, 2015, and will attract the top names in European retail.
