US baby goods etailer zulily has awarded Clipper a contract to provide e-fulfilment processes for its newly-launched UK online store.
The UK website, which opened for business at the start of April, will have between five to 10 daily sales events which last up to 72 hours. Membership to zulily is free, and members can take advantage of discounts of up to 90% on branded products.
Clipper will handle all inbound receipts direct from vendors and suppliers, fulfil the orders and ship the goods direct to customers’ homes, across the UK, Europe and beyond via its integrated courier partners. Clipper will undertake quality control of products and handle all returns at one of its Yorkshire-based e-fulfilment centres of excellence.
zulily Managing Director, UK Kristine Kirby said: “It’s important for zulily to provide a positive customer experience, delivering items efficiently and offering convenient delivery services, whilst also building strong supplier relationships.
“We were impressed by Clipper’s can-do attitude and extensive retail and e-fulfilment experience. We feel the team is the right partner for our new UK venture, sharing our ambition and drive to take the business forward quickly and capably.”
Commenting on the contract win, Clipper Managing Director Tony Mannix said: “We are fiercely proud of our proven track record and market-leading position within the e-fulfilment sector and we’re looking forward to working with zulily, using our ‘ability and agility’ to help them achieve rapid growth during their first year in the UK.
“We have the expertise and proven processes zulily requires to make its mark on the UK and European scene.”
