Clipper has been appointed to provide online fulfilment solutions for leading leisure retailer, american golf , following a competitive tender process. The UK and Europe wide contract came into effect in mid-October, following a number of months of planning.
Clipper will fulfil all online sales for the company across both the americangolf.co.uk and onlinegolf.co.uk platforms, which is aimed at supporting the leading retailer’s online growth strategy. The contract will be operated through a shared use facility at Worsley, taking advantage of the flexible ‘Clipper Way’ and delivering immediate benefits for the client.
american golf has consolidated its position as the leading retailer of golfing equipment in Europe. The company operates via a network of 95 stores across the UK, with additional store openings planned. They also have a substantial online operation, which was bolstered by its acquisition of onlinegolf.co.uk in 2010.

Sales during the transitional period were monitored closely to ensure service levels were maintained and the customer experience remained consistent. Based on the Clipper ethos of ‘agility matched by ability’ the two parties worked together to achieve a seamless transition to the new site.
