Leading retail logistics expert, Clipper, has strengthened its senior team by making a new senior appointment. Sean Hallows takes up a post as an Operations Director. Sean joins from TJX Europe, parent company of TK Maxx where he held the position of Distribution Director, Europe.
Clipper operates 32 distribution centres across the UK and Europe, which includes a new 850,000sqft supercentre recently opened in Teesside, servicing the Asda George clothing brand. The appointment will aid the Clipper commitment to match ‘Ability with Agility’ by strengthening the operations team with Sean’s extensive retail logistics experience.
Sean has previously held senior roles in 3663 Foodservice, where he was Operations Director, and Poundland, where he was Distribution Director. He said of the appointment: “I’m very excited to be taking on this new challenge. Clipper is a company that I’ve seen grow over the years, and admired from afar. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already been impressed with the dedication of the people who work for the company. I look forward to bringing my experience to the role to help ensure our clients see the benefit of ‘the Clipper way’.
Managing Director, Tony Mannix concluded: “There have been a lot of challenges in the retail environment recently, but through hard work, we’ve continued to grow and demonstrate our value to customers. We’ll build on this by continuing to create bespoke solutions for retailers, including multichannel solutions, which will help us to accelerate this growth. Our operations in Europe continue to gather momentum, and as a consequence, Sean’s skills and abilities will be invaluable to the Clipper business.”
