Clipper has designed and implemented a bespoke logistics solution, which will enable Help for Heroes to operate its e-fulfilment and retail operations more efficiently and support its future growth plans.
Help for Heroes previously handled their logistics in-house but has recently transferred the operation to Clipper’s Enfield site. Helen Beebe, Managing Director of Help for Heroes Trading Ltd. said: “Clipper has been able to provide what we need to operate our existing business more efficiently, expand our retail operation and continue to raise funds to support the important work the charity does. We sell a wide variety of clothing, accessories, homeware and gifts via the web site, through our supporters and from our retail outlets and This move will ensure that our retail customers continue to experience high levels of satisfaction.”
Carl Moore, Operations Director at Clipper said: “Help for Heroes are a well known charity, doing amazing work for service personnel and their families. By working with Clipper, they’ve been able to benefit from our years of experience and expertise in retail logistics, allowing for an increase in volumes and roll-out of their store opening programme. By taking advantage of our shared user site in Enfield and sharing distribution costs with other retailers, we’re delighted to have implemented a cost effective solution to support their needs.”
The contract will be serviced from Clipper’s Enfield DC. Help for Heroes merchandise will be shipped worldwide from the Clipper site, as well as to UK based shops and retail outlets. The transition from the former warehouse was handled over just one weekend, leading to a seamless transition, without any customer disruption.
